This waterfall is located in one of the upper valleys of the Vanoise, surrounded by two of the massif's major peaks, with an impressive landscape.
In this valley, numerous waterfalls form when the conditions are right.
One of them is the Mône! Set in a gorge with narrow walls, it is one of the most beautiful climbs at this level of difficulty.
The approach is quick; after a few warm-up jumps, a 40m pitch inclined at 80/85° offers a superb moment; then other pitches follow, more modest but just as beautiful. It takes around an hour to walk back.
