Ascent of Grande Casse 3855m

This is a summit for skiers/snowboarders who are already experienced hikers and know how to use an ice axe and crampons (classic mountaineering equipment).

Ascent of Grande Casse 3855m

It is the summit of the Massif de la Vanoise and can be skied up and down: a must! Depending on your experience and technical level, there are several routes down it: from the classic glacier slope of the big couloirs on the west face, to routes on the north face, and for the most expert, routes on the south face, exclusively on a very steep slope!
